DexDamp for Cars, Trucks & SUVs
Our automotive upholstery shop in Seattle specializes in soundproofing cars and trucks. We've found DexDamp sound dampening sheets are an effective way to muffle road noise and engine vibration. It won't elminate sounds, but it dramatically reduces them.
To get a better idea how it works, try this experiment. Tap your knuckles on the outside of a car door panel. Next, place the palm of your other hand on the same door panel. Keeping your palm in place, tap the door like you did the first time. The difference in pitch and volume gives you an idea how a sheet of DexDamp works.

DexDamp is a non-curing, light-weight, self-adhesive mastic used to reduce structure-borne vibration. It is processed with an aluminium constraining layer.
